The Opening CUTSCENE
The chapter begins with a cutscene where you interact with Nonna, who comes to your aid.
Armed with her trusty minigun, she helps you fend off a group of Kleers on the bridge ahead.
THE MINIGUN
Once the enemies are dealt with, another cutscene plays where Nonna hands over her powerful minigun to you. This new weapon will be crucial for the battles ahead.
After receiving the minigun, proceed forward. As you advance, you’ll face another wave of Kleers. Take them out swiftly using your newly acquired weapon. Just when you think the coast is clear and you can move on, the real challenge begins.
A swarm of drones emerges from behind the castle, presenting a tough fight. Use your minigun to eliminate them efficiently. If you’ve unlocked the double minigun skill, now is the perfect time to activate it for maximum firepower. Once the drones are destroyed, continue forward.
SKILL POINT
As you move along, you’ll come across a wooden box under a tent. Open it to gain a valuable skill point.
Be sure to collect any ammo scattered around as you proceed through the gate marked with little green lights.
Continue forward, picking up supplies along the way. Midway or towards the end of the path, enemies will begin spawning in large numbers. Prepare for an intense battle and utilize your weapons strategically to overcome this wave of foes.
Once the fight is over, head towards the large gate at the end of the path and turn right.
You’ll encounter a group of soldiers guarding a building.
Enter the building, where more enemies await. Clear them out and search for the exit within.
THE HOLY MECH
Upon exiting the building, a cutscene will play where you climb into the Holy Mech.
The initialization sequence begins as the mech powers up, preparing you for one of the most exhilarating segments of this chapter.
March forward in your mech along the street, engaging waves of enemies, including multiple Khnums. The mech’s firepower makes these encounters thrilling yet manageable.
At the end of the road, clear away any debris blocking your path to trigger another cutscene.
BOSS FIGHT
The climax of this chapter pits you against a massive three-eyed tentacle monster near St. Peter’s Basilica. This is the boss fight of Machina Ex Deus, and it’s as challenging as it is epic.
Stay on high alert as this monster can spawn tentacles throughout the area, attack with them, or even hurl cars at you. Additionally, it will occasionally shield itself, summoning regular enemies to distract you.
Stay mobile and use all available resources to bring down this formidable foe. Patience and strategy are key to emerging victorious.
ENDING CUTSCENE
Once you defeat the tentacle monster, a final cutscene plays where you enter St. Peter’s Basilica. This marks the end of Chapter 8: Machina Ex Deus.
